Due to the COVID-19 virus, Australia has closed its border to all non-Australians from Friday 20 March 2020- today
In response SEFOPE has suspended travel under the Australian Labour Mobility Programs, the Seasonal Worker Program and the Pacific Labour scheme from today Friday 20 March
This is a virus that is affecting the whole world and this decision by Australia affects all countries involved in labour mobility
To all workers waiting to be mobilized, you will not be travelling. We must wait until the Australian border opens. SEFOPE does not know when this will happen
As soon as SEFOPE receive official confirmation from Australian Government that the border is open, DNEE will contact all workers

You will complete your work as normal, and return home through normal Timor-Leste border and customs processes
Stay calm, please follow the rules around COVID-19 in Australia and stay safe
